Intuitive user experiences, thoughtfully crafted

Hey! I’m Amani Maraby, a UX designer who loves crafting things that are easy and enjoyable to use. UX design is the perfect role for me to mix problem solving with a bit of creativity.
I’m big on empathy driven design which is why I do my research and use tools like Maze, UserTesting and Google Analytics to turn actual insights into clean, intuitive experiences. I do most of my heavy lifting in Figma, but I’ve also got a solid foundation in Adobe CC, Sketch, and Adobe XD.
I’m also really comfortable with the "messy" side of product development. Whether I’m creating and adjusting user flows in Miro or FigJam, documenting in Notion and Confluence, or keeping track of sprints in Jira, Trello, and Taiga, I like staying organized.
When I’m not staring at frames, I’m usually picking up new creative hobbies, so I put it all in a separate tab here. When I’m not diving into one of those, I’m usually gaming or hiking with my cats, Stiorra and Seris.

In general my design process begins with understanding the user, the problem, and the goal. I start by defining goals, constraints, and success metrics, then move into research and exploration to identify user needs and pain points. From there, I translate insights into user flows, wireframes, and interaction patterns, iterating based on clarity and usability. By focusing on designing exceptional user experiences, I apply visual design intentionally to support function, accessibility, and emotional tone, ensuring the final experience feels intuitive, cohesive, and purposeful.

Between my school experience in interior design and having professional experience with graphic design, I’ve developed a 'multidisciplinary' superpower. This mix gives me a unique lens I don't just see pixels on a screen; I see how users move through an experience, whether it’s a digital interface or a physical room. It’s all about balance, hierarchy, and making sure the aesthetic matches the function.

I prioritize intuitive navigation, meaningful feedback, and efficient interactions, ensuring users can accomplish tasks with minimal friction. My portfolio showcases scalable systems that adapt across screens and states, with careful attention to edge cases, accessibility, and consistency. The ultimate aim is to build applications that feel reliable, easy to learn, and satisfying to return to over time, enhancing the overall user experience.
